Lebo is a dynamic and purpose-driven communications leader with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of strategic communications, advocacy, programme management, youth engagement, and international development. She has served in senior roles with global organizations such as the United Nations (United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, UNICEF, UNFPA, and United Nations Mission in South Sudan), where she led high-impact strategies that elevated key development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding priorities across Africa and the Middle East.
Lebo has a proven track record in designing and delivering advocacy campaigns that shape narratives, influence policy, and mobilize resources. Her work has driven visibility and results for programs focused on gender equality, youth empowerment, reproductive health, and peacebuilding—translating complex issues into stories that resonate with diverse audiences, from UN Member States to grassroots youth networks.
With expertise in donor relations, public information, strategic partnerships, and media relations, Lebo has managed multimillion-dollar portfolios and strengthened engagement with major donors, including governments, multilateral agencies, and philanthropic partners. She is deeply passionate about creating platforms for young people to share their voices, having led youth-led storytelling and advocacy initiatives in conflict-affected contexts such as South Sudan and Syria.
Beyond her work in international development, Lebo is a storyteller at heart. Her love for books, culture, and conversation has shaped her career and personal ventures—including The LeboSpeaks Podcast, where she shares powerful conversations with young Africans overcoming adversity and leading change in their communities.
